HI! My name is Sonia, I was born and raised on the shores of Lake Maggiore, where I still live with my son Giona and I have always wanted to manage an accommodation facility. Finally my dream came true in 2023, when I finished renovating the house that once belonged to my uncles.

Casa Ilanga owes its name to the passion of the original owner, my aunt Elena, for South Africa. Indeed, "Ilanga" means 'Sun' in the Zulu language (official language of South Africa) and no other name could be more appropriate, as the house enjoys sunlight throughout the day.

Ilanga is located in the center of Cannero Riviera, 500 meters from Lido di Cannero, one of the most renowned free beaches on the lake.

Curiosity: the protagonist of an illustrated book for children that I wrote lived in this house: Katy - The water dog. Funny stories of a nice and sleepy Golden Retriever with fantastic magical powers.
